'ey op!

Been a while, again. Not that much has happened but out of self-respect I thought a few words might be in order. The new calendar year so far, for me, has been dominated by work unfortunately. Now, it's all about the upcoming holidays in March, cant wait really.

On another note, Xinola passed her viva on the 21st January which truly is a great achievement! Made me feel very proud. She's still got to do some revisions but it's just the warm down now, the finishing line has been crossed!

At work, I have a new boss. This has so far been bit of a mixed bag - some things have changed for better and some for worse. I guess would be fair to say that mostly for better. She's a bit of a loony but at least she knows it herself so makes things easier. I've also taken on an array of outsource partner relationships and now try to learn how to work those and how to keep improving them on an ongoing basis. At least it's something new for a change and I still have pretty much my own schedules which is nice.

So, as already mentioned above, our yearly holiday to Mexico is getting closer by the day and that's pretty much the only thing that keeps me getting through the days in the office. Less than three weeks to go... This time we have the privilege to visit the small, but precious island of Mujeres again. Snorkling and sun, beer and cochinita pibil - heaven!

Ok, that's it for now. I'll return with something more profound to say next time. Perhaps even an analysis of the current state of the society in the UK. Right.
